Carter Howell – Inside Out

This is Carter Howell's 2024 retiring address as 2023-24 National FFA Southern Region Vice President. Drawing on his hospitalization for pancreatitis during his year of service, Howell reflects on struggling to see the good in situations and in himself despite putting on a happy mask for others. He encourages FFA members to slow down and honestly ask how they are doing, be honest with themselves, and let others love them, arguing that learning to see the good within ourselves enables us to see the good in others and in the world.
