Thaddeus Bergschneider – It’s Your Move

This is Thaddeus Bergschneider's 2025 retiring address as 2024-25 National FFA President, titled "It's Your Move." Using the metaphor of sacrificing a queen in a chess match, he explores how making difficult choices now creates value for the future, illustrating the idea through stories of his own physical therapy after a wrist injury, a Tennessee state officer named Ari who balanced FFA with family hardship, and his grandfather who gave up speaking to spare his son a stutter. He challenges FFA members to consider whose future they are willing to sacrifice for and to find purpose in the present by doing the difficult now to gain the great later.
