2026 Agriscience Fair: Social Systems – Division 6

Nicholas and Lakeisha from the Waipahu FFA chapter in Hawaii discuss winning the national championship in the Agriscience Fair's Social Systems Division 6 category. Their project explored how personal connections and leadership drive youth engagement in climate action, building on prior research that showed simply sharing facts was insufficient. They reveal that task completion rates jumped from 1% to 80% when participants worked alongside people they knew, highlighting relationships as a powerful tool for enacting change.
