Alaska FFA celebrates its 50th anniversary at the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo, where 50 members from six chapters traveled nearly 3,000 miles to compete in five events. State President Liam Wade and other members reflect on Alaska's unique agricultural landscape, including fisheries, reindeer, and coral reef touch tanks, while emphasizing food security in the last frontier. As the final state to join National FFA in the 1970s, Alaska has grown to more than 500 members and is positioned to carry the organization into its next 50 years.
