Tessa Tauke Star Agriscience Finalist
Tessa Tauke of the Beckman Catholic FFA chapter in Dyersville, Iowa, shares her journey as an American Star finalist in agriscience. She describes her five research projects ranging from adhesive tape and trailer connector plugs to black walnut effects on plants, welding light safety, and aromatherapy treatments for ringworm, along with her research experiences at Iowa State, the USDA, and a river museum aquarium. Now a student at Iowa State's College of Veterinary Medicine, she reflects on the adaptability, problem-solving, and communication skills she gained through FFA as she pursues a career as a mixed animal practitioner.
