The Region II FFA Camp and Banquet was a time to remember for members across Michigan and bring together individuals for a weekend filled with leadership, connection and unforgettable experiences.

This year’s camp saw record-breaking attendance, highlighting the growing excitement and involvement within Region II. Members from across the region gathered to take part in a wide range of activities that challenged them, built confidence and strengthened friendships. From zip lining and rock wall climbing to nature walks, members had the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones while enjoying the outdoors.

Beyond the daytime activities, the energy continued into the evenings. Members came together for recreational activities, including a competitive camp-wide game of Gaga ball that quickly became a highlight of the night. The camp dance brought everyone together as well, giving members a chance to relax, have fun and enjoy time with friends as they filled the space with music, laughter and plenty of dancing.

Throughout the weekend, members also had the opportunity to grow as leaders. Workshops led by state officers and current regional officers focused on leadership development, communication and personal growth. According to the regional advisor, this year’s workshop variety was the best he has seen in over 10 years — a reflection of the dedication and effort put in by the officer team.

A unique change to this year’s camp was an interactive agriculture industry panel, where five professionals shared their experiences and insights with members. They spoke about career opportunities in agriculture, how to stay involved after high school and the many different paths students can take within the industry. This gave members a real-world perspective and inspired many to continue pursuing their passions in agriculture.

Service remained an important part of the weekend as well. Members participated in a hygiene drive, coming together to support those in need and reinforce the importance of giving back to their communities.

A highlight of the weekend was the annual banquet, where members gathered to celebrate achievements and recognize individuals for their hard work and dedication. Awards were presented, memories were shared and the impact of the past year was truly brought to life. During the banquet, the 2026-27 Region II officer slate was announced, introducing the candidates to members in attendance.

The evening also marked an emotional moment as the regional officer team delivered their retiring addresses. Through laughter and tears, they reflected on a year of growth, challenges and meaningful connections. Their words served as a reminder that while a year in FFA can accomplish so much, it passes quickly — making every moment count all the more important.

The following day, delegates gathered to hear each slated regional officer candidate deliver a two-minute speech before casting their votes. The new officer team was officially elected, and excitement quickly built for the year ahead. As one group’s year comes to a close, anticipation grows to see how the next team will serve the region with the same passion and dedication.

As members left camp, they carried with them not only new skills and friendships, but also a renewed passion for making a difference in their chapters and communities.
