Lenawee Tech Center FFA member Holly Mitchell is the kind of person who never shies away from something new. She wants to experience every part of FFA, from career and leadership development events to conferences and hands-on learning sessions. Mitchell believes that if an opportunity is offered, it is worth trying at least once. That mindset has shaped her entire FFA journey.

Mitchell is an enthusiastic and deeply passionate individual who loves agriculture and FFA with her whole heart. She is a bright, positive light who fills every classroom with her sweet smile and genuine kindness. Her honesty and caring nature makes her someone that members and advisors alike can always depend on. Mitchell doesn’t just participate in FFA; she pours herself into it.

Mitchell joined the FFA at the age of 15. She was very shy at first, but that did not last long. As she pushed herself to step outside of her comfort zone, she began to show everyone just how capable she truly is. After trying her first few competitions, she quickly fell in love with everything FFA had to offer. From that point on, she made it her goal to stay involved and say “yes” whenever she could.

Through the agricultural technology program at her local tech center, Mitchell participated in various events, including the Michigan FFA Broiler Contest, Public Speaking, dairy feeder and swine projects, and more. As she continued in her agricultural programs, she expanded her involvement even more. She competed in Parliamentary Procedure, Tractor Driving, Livestock Judging, and Agronomy, where she found great success.

Mitchell also serves as the AM Chapter President. Alongside all of this, she managed Supervised Agricultural Experiences in beef, poultry, swine, goats, and more. Outside of her FFA chapter and projects, Mitchell is homeschooled and serves as a Culver’s ambassador, continuing her passion for service in her everyday life.

Mitchell may not win every competition she enters, but she never loses her determination. She continues to show up, work hard, and give her best effort, no matter the outcome. Her drive and perseverance are a reminder that FFA is about growth, learning, and becoming better with every experience.

Mitchell is incredibly thankful for FFA and the impact it has had on her life. FFA has given her confidence, leadership skills, and a place where she truly belongs. Her message to other members is simple, but powerful: “Try everything!” You never know which experience will change you.

Now in her senior year, no matter where life takes her after FFA, Mitchell will never be forgotten in the Lenawee Tech Center FFA Chapter. She will be remembered as a leader and someone who lived to serve by giving her whole heart to FFA.
