Neodesha FFA Kicks Off National FFA Week With Annual Community Appreciation Breakfast

Community members enjoy breakfast at the annual community appreciation breakfast.
The Neodesha FFA Chapter in Kansas kicked off National FFA Week on a high note, serving over 120 community members through its annual community appreciation breakfast. The chapter set a record for the number of people served at the breakfast.
Vice President Jenna Meseraull expressed her gratitude toward everyone who gathered to support the chapter. “I was amazed by the number of people we were able to serve in just two hours,” she says. “We were constantly on our feet cooking and serving, and it didn’t slow down.”
Neodesha FFA members worked hard to keep up with the demand, but sometimes were unable to. Chapter Sentinel Colton Newton was one of the cooks for the morning. “We started the morning an hour before serving, and thought we were in a good place to shut everything down just before breakfast started,” he says. “Roughly 15 minutes into the event, we already needed to refill. We went through over 180 eggs and 15 packs of bacon, which was crazy. It was eye-opening to see the overwhelming support of the community.”
The Neodesha FFA Chapter is looking forward to seeing community support again at the annual work auction on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, to put an exclamation mark on the 2026 National FFA Week. Everyone is welcome to attend, and the chapter is excited to see everyone!
