Blue and Gold in Full Swing: Connecticut Celebrates National FFA Week

Connecticut FFA members have a variety of ways to make National FFA Week celebrations meaningful and memorable.
National FFA Week is here, and chapters all across Connecticut are gearing up for a week full of energy, appreciation and celebration. From spirit days to award ceremonies, Connecticut FFA members will showcase what agricultural education and leadership are all about.
Throughout the week, chapters organize spirit weeks filled with blue and gold pride, themed dress-up days, and friendly competitions to boost school involvement. Hallways will be decorated with posters highlighting FFA impact, agriculture facts and the opportunities available to students through their chapters.
Many Connecticut chapters are planning teacher appreciation luncheons to thank the educators who support agricultural education year-round. Members will deliver small gifts and handwritten notes to show gratitude. Rallies of fun and pep rallies are also scheduled to spread excitement and encourage students to learn more about FFA.
Public speaking will play a major role during the week, as members share their FFA stories during morning announcements, at chapter meetings and within their communities. Award ceremonies will recognize members for their dedication to Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), career development events and leadership roles.

One Woodbury FFA Chapter Advisor said, “National FFA Week is a time to reflect on leadership, service, and opportunity — and Woodbury FFA celebrates in a big way … so big that we had a huge billboard all week to promote the Woodbury FFA Chapter! Woodbury FFA marks National FFA Week by hosting a variety of engaging events that encourage students to get involved and give back to their local communities.”
