Western Kentucky FFA Members Receive Murray State University Honors

The Hutson School of Agriculture at Murray State University recently honored numerous Western Kentucky FFA members for their outstanding leadership contributions to the organization. Fifty-one FFA members from the 18-county Murray State University service region received honors by being named Murray State FFA All-Region Stars.

Chapters represented were Ballard Memorial, Calloway County, Carlisle County, Fulton County, Graves County, Hickman County, Livingston Central, Marshall County, McCracken County, Murray Independent, and Trigg County in the Purchase region; Caldwell County, Christian County, Crittenden County, Lyon County, Muhlenberg County and Todd County Central in the Pennyrile region; and Henderson County, Union County, and Webster County in the Green River Region.

The ceremony, held at Murray State University on Nov. 17, recognized these members for their leadership within FFA and their communities, as well as their dedication to agriculture. Recipients and family members, as well as their advisors, were invited to the event celebrating these achievements. Attendees were provided a meal, and each member received a plaque recognizing their achievement.

Speakers and guests at the event included Murray State University President Dr. Ron Patterson, Dean of the Hutson School of Agriculture Dr. Brian Parr, and Kentucky State Officers Jacee McKeel, Mollie Goode, and Clinton Corner.

Murray State prepares the next generation of leaders to make a difference in their community, across the country and around the world. Murray State University is located in Murray, Ky., and includes five regional campuses in Fort Campbell, Henderson, Hopkinsville, Madisonville, and Paducah.
