It’s All in the Details

At Clewiston Christian High School (CCHS), service wears a familiar smile. Behind every successful event, there’s one constant: Alumnus Landon Sutton. Given the title of Honorary FFA Member in 2024, Sutton has continued to go above and beyond to exemplify the FFA motto of “Living to Serve.”

As owner of The Details by Landon, a successful event decorating business, Sutton brings beauty, creativity and a servant’s heart to every occasion. Whether it’s transforming an open-air barn into a stunning banquet space or simply showing up to lend a hand at the monthly meetings, Sutton is always there, quietly leading through service and dedication.

In 2017, a few inspired students, including Sutton, founded the Clewiston Christian High School FFA Chapter. Starting a new organization at such a small school wasn’t easy. It took determination and faith to grow interest and membership until FFA became one of the largest student-led programs at CCHS.

Years after his graduation, Sutton’s commitment to serving others hasn’t faded. He mentors current members as they prepare for competitions, helps officers organize community outreach events and reminds every student that leadership begins with humility. His actions show that “Living to Serve” isn’t just a motto; it’s a lifestyle that continues long after the blue jacket is hung up.

“Landon not only is a positive influence on our members, but he also helps us make our chapter better by assisting with ideas and activities to spread awareness of our chapter,” says CCHS FFA Chapter Reporter Chloe Branaman.

Now, as an adult, Sutton continues to pour that same passion into the next generation of agricultural leaders. He reminds members that “it’s all in the details” because great things don’t just happen. They’re built through hard work, faith and service to others. Sutton’s ongoing commitment to the chapter is a living example of the FFA motto in action.

When asked why he continues to give so much of his time and talent to the CCHS FFA Chapter, Sutton said, “I believe deeply in the future of agriculture, the future of this chapter and, most importantly, in the futures of the students who walk through its doors. Through FFA, we’re not just teaching students about agriculture — we’re equipping them to be the next generation of leaders, problem-solvers and change-makers. As an alumni, it’s a privilege to give back to the same program that gave me so much.”
