Sydney Bruchhaus continues to show that confidence, service and dedication can open doors to opportunities far beyond what she once imagined.
When Sydney Bruchhaus first joined the Elton FFA Chapter, she didn’t fully believe in herself. Like many members stepping into FFA for the first time, she wasn’t sure what she could accomplish or where the organization could take her. However, through FFA, Bruchhaus quickly discovered opportunities that not only built her confidence but also gave her a chance to give back to her community every day.
Bruchhaus’ dedication and growth led her to serve as the 2022 Louisiana FFA state secretary. During her year of service, she traveled across the state, connected with countless members and experienced firsthand the incredible opportunities that FFA provides. She used those opportunities not just for herself, but to positively impact her chapter, her state and even her nation.

Sydney Bruchhaus embodies the FFA motto of “living to serve” by turning early uncertainty into a lifelong commitment to leadership and community impact.
Her journey didn’t stop there — Bruchhaus has continued to chase leadership and service at higher levels. She works at the Louisiana State Capitol, gaining valuable experience in public service. She also served as a marketing intern for John Deere in Des Moines, Iowa, where she connected agriculture with innovation and business on a national level. Additionally, Bruchhaus currently holds a national title with the Agriculture Future of America organization. At Louisiana State University (LSU), she continues to lead as a member of the LSU Student Senate, representing her peers and building her voice as a leader.
Now a junior at LSU, Bruchhaus is on track to graduate in December 2026. Her story shows how FFA can change lives. What started as uncertainty in a small chapter has grown into leadership, service and influence that reaches across the country.
Bruchhaus shows us all that when you take hold of the opportunities FFA offers, you can become more than you ever thought possible. She’s not only living out the motto — she’s showing future generations of FFA members that their journey can take them anywhere.
