Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who, through supervised agricultural experiences, have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers.



Agricultural Proficiency Awards National Winners
Career and Leadership Events
CDEs and LDEs test the abilities of individuals and teams in 25 major areas of agricultural instruction. Youth travel from across the country to participate at the national level. Through intense hands-on activities, FFA members are asked to perform specific career skills that will help them develop technical knowledge, decision-making, reasoning and more. Industry professionals serve as judges so that the participants can see how they would perform in actual careers.ls received scholarships.



National FFA Agriscience Fair
The National FFA Agriscience Fair recognizes students who gain real-world, hands-on experiences in agricultural enterprises. Students use scientific principles and emerging technologies to solve complex problems related to agriculture, food and natural resources. The agriscience fair is for middle and high school students. Students compete in one of six categories in the agriscience fair and under one of six divisions — either individually or as a team.

Delegate Recommendation

Student Input on Strategic Direction for 2027-2031 Committee
As the Board of Directors works to develop a vision statement and strategic plan for 2027-2031, the committee will identify priorities to provide student input to establish a broad organizational focus in the coming years.

Enhancement of Marketing and Messaging Committee
This committee will explore strategies to expand and enhance communication efforts that effectively share the stories of the National FFA Organization and its members. Main focus areas will include identifying key messages and tools to elevate brand clarification, awareness, and engagement
Evaluation of Degree Program Structure Committee
The committee will evaluate the existing degree structure (Discovery, Greenhand, Chapter, State, and American) with an emphasis on exploring degree opportunities for 5th and 6th-grade members, discussing the timeline of eligibility (i.e. required time spent in an agricultural education course at/above 9th grade level), identifying other educational areas of ambiguity, and proposing revised language.
Cultivating Growth of Leadership Programs Committee
The National FFA Organization has a responsibility to strengthen and improve existing leadership programs. The committee will focus on gathering student perspectives to enhance current programs and explore innovative ways to ensure FFA delivers on its mission to develop “…premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education” for all members.
Expanding Belonging and Engagement Committee
This committee will evaluate the practical application of fostering a welcoming, supportive, engaging, and growth focused environment for members at all levels of the organization. Members will focus on applying the Statement of Belonging and Value Statements across all programming and on developing new strategies to engage all members.
Reviewing the Process of the Delegate Experience Committee
This committee will evaluate the procedural and developmental components of the delegate experience. Delegates will discuss the efficacy of the entire delegate experience, from proposal submission to committee work at National
Convention, to ensure efficiency, accessibility, and meaningful student engagement.
