Local Engagement - Grants

Grants secured through local engagement programs are designed to help chapters enhance existing projects, start new ones or attend FFA or agricultural education events, as well as provide resources for members to compete in educational competitions and support SAEs and CDEs.

Tractor Supply Company — Grants for Growing

Grants for Growing is a competitive grant process to develop or improve an agricultural project. Applications must outline a new or existing school agricultural project. The project should be sustainable and live on to benefit future FFA members. These chapter grants will allow for a greater impact in local communities and enhance chapter learning experiences. Syngenta – Chapter Grants

Syngenta has been a proud supporter of FFA for more than 50 years and is committed to the future of the agriculture industry through investments in agricultural education and youth organizations. One way Syngenta demonstrates this commitment is through the grant-based programs it supports. The Blue Jacket and Rising Sun programs are unique initiatives that encourage partnership between Syngenta and its retailers and seed advisors to extend support to FFA programs. Through matching donations and other incentives, Syngenta provides both retailers and seed advisors with the opportunity to invest in the future of agriculture and give back to their local communities.

When a Syngenta partner commits a gift to the National FFA Foundation, Syngenta will match each donation with an equal contribution. This funding will support FFA at the national level, and a portion of the total contribution goes back to a local chapter in the name of the donating Syngenta partner. Syngenta's programs have awarded close to $400,000 in chapter grants since 2008.

Blue Jacket Program – Syngenta retailers commit their support to a local chapter(s) by providing a $750 chapter grant and the iconic FFA blue jacket.

Rising Sun – Syngenta seed growers select a chapter to receive a $300 chapter grant.
