On Sept. 23, 2025, more than 500 FFA members came together at Bladen Community College in North Carolina for the 2025 South Central Regional Leadership Conference, a day dedicated to leadership, teamwork and growth. The event was hosted by nine individuals and featured a full schedule of engaging workshops and inspiring speakers.

The 2025–26 South Central Regional Officer Team led three interactive workshops, each focusing on building essential leadership and communication skills. Guest speakers also presented sessions highlighting various leadership services and opportunities for members to expand their impact.

“Having the opportunity to help lead was such an exciting experience, as I facilitated a workshop with my fellow officer, Erick Hayes,” says South Central Regional Treasurer Kamryn Wise. “Hosting our workshop for the senior groups about ‘setting sail’ and leaving their legacy as an FFA member was my favorite part of the conference.”

Adding to the excitement, three North Carolina FFA state officers joined the event to lead specialized workshops. State President Jazmin Palma led a workshop about expressing gratitude within the organization. State Vice Presidents Lilly Russell and Josiah Saraviah facilitated a powerful workshop about embracing diversity within teams.

“Attending the 2025 South Central Regional Leadership Conference was an incredible opportunity to connect, lead and grow alongside 500-plus FFA members,” says Saraviah. “Lilly and I had the privilege of facilitating a workshop on ‘Diversity in Teamwork,’ where we explored the idea that ‘we may all come from different ships, but we are all on the same boat now.’ Through hands-on activities and meaningful discussion, members discovered how embracing differences could strengthen a team’s success.”

The conference was filled with energy, laughter and inspiration, as members left with new insights to bring back to their local chapters. The day not only celebrated leadership but also reinforced the importance of unity and understanding the values that continue to drive the success of the South Central Region FFA.
