About the Author: Macy Philipp
Macy Philipp grew up in a small town in rural Iowa. Throughout her childhood, she was surrounded by her family's trucking company. Her family currently operates the largest Fleet farm within Iowa. In her free time, she teaches horseback riding lessons at a local horse barn, which falls under the Equine Placement category in the Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). Her ultimate goal is to educate others about the importance of caring properly for equine within her SAE. In Macy's FFA career, she has competed in multiple Leadership Development Events, such as Prepared Public Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Agricultural Marketing. These LDEs have shaped her career pathway today. Macy will continue her education at Iowa State University in the fall of 2026, studying Agricultural Communications and Agricultural and Rural Policy Studies.
