The National FFA Organization formerly known as “Future Farmers of America” – was founded by a group of young farmers in 1928. Their mission was to prepare future generations for the challenges of feeding a growing population. They taught us that agriculture is more than planting and harvesting – it’s a science, it’s a business and it’s an art.

Today, more than 1,053,847 student members aged 12-21 in more than 9,591 chapters nationwide are engaged in a wide range of agricultural education activities. Students join FFA to explore a variety of careers in the food, fiber and natural resources industry. They are the next generation of leaders who will change the world.

The National FFA Organization is proud to announce the latest cohort for the Chapter Connect program for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, which includes 32 chapters from 26 states, including Washington, D.C.
