National Chapter Awards

Winners of the 2013 National Chapter Awards (including Model of Excellence, Models of Innovation and Outstanding Middle School) have been announced! Congratulations!


The National Chapter Award program recognizes FFA chapters that successfully complete an annual Program of Activities (PoA) which includes a series of activities designed to encourage its members to grow as individuals, to work as part of a team, and to serve others.

Eligibility

In order to qualify for a state or national award, your chapter must complete at least 15 activities: one for each of the five quality standards in each of the three divisions.

State FFA Superior Chapter Award

Chapters that complete and document at least 15 activities will receive a State Superior Chapter Award certificate from their state FFA association. They will also be eligible to compete for their state’s Gold, Silver and Bronze chapter awards.

State Gold, Silver and Bronze Chapter Awards

Chapters who qualify for a State FFA Superior Chapter Award are eligible to compete for State Gold, Silver and Bronze Chapter Awards. Each chapter that competes for these awards will receive a multi-year plaque and a spur designating their bronze, gold or silver rating. The will receive additional spurs for each year they compete and receive a rating from their state FFA association.

The state’s top three gold chapter award winners (or the number equal to 10 percent of the state’s total number of chapters, if that number is higher) are eligible to compete for the National FFA Star Chapter Awards.

National FFA Star Chapter Awards

Chapters that receive a gold rating by their state FFA associations are eligible to compete for National FFA their 3-star, 2-star or 1-star ratings. Each chapter that competes for these awards will receive a multi-year plaque and a spur designating their 3-star, 2-star or 1-star rating. They will receive additional spurs for each year they compete and receive a rating from the National FFA Organization.  Chapters that receive a national 3-star chapter rating will be eligible to compete for the National Model of Innovation, Model of Excellence and Outstanding Middle School Chapter Awards.

National Model of Innovation Chap‚Äčter Awards

Chapters that receive national 3–star ratings are eligible to compete for the National Model of Innovation Chapter Awards.

Ten finalists are selected for each of the three National Chapter Award Divisions. Each of the 30 finalists receives a plaque. Cash awards dependent upon available funds.

Three National Model of Innovation Chapter winners are selected from the finalists—one for each of the three award divisions: Student, Chapter and Community. Each winning chapter receives an additional plaque.

National Model of Excellence Chapter Award

Chapters that receive national 3–star ratings are eligible to compete for the National Model of Excellence Chapter Award.

Ten finalists are selected for the National Model of Excellence Chapter Award. Each of the 10 finalists receives a plaque. Cash awards dependent upon available funds.

The National Model of Excellence winning chapter receives an additional plaque.

National Outstanding Middle School Chapter Award

Middle school chapters that receive national 3–star ratings are eligible to compete for the National Outstanding Middle School Chapter Award.

Five finalists are selected for the National Outstanding Middle School Chapter Award. Each of the 5 finalists receives a plaque.

The National Outstanding Middle School winning chapter receives an additional plaque.
