Environmental and Natural Resources CDE

Individual and team activities in the Environmental and Natural Resources CDE include a national and global issues interview, environmental and natural resources problem solving, soil tests and profiles, air and water analysis, GPS use, waste management and more.

Team Format

Four participants per team. All four team members’ scores count toward the total team score.

Awards

Effective in 2012 and beyond, CDE scholarships will be given as cash awards. This change will benefit all participants whether or not they choose to pursue higher education and will also develop consistency between national FFA award programs. Scholarships awarded in 2011 or before will continue to be distributed as in the past. Below you will find the cash award amounts for this CDE:

TEAM: Each member of the first place team receives $1,000 each.

3rd- $800
4th- $700
5th- $600
6th- $400
7th- $400
8th- $400
9th- $400
10th- $400
