INDIANAPOLIS (Wednesday, May 8, 2013/National FFA Organization) – Bryan Kelley has been named senior sales and development manager at the National FFA Organization.
Formerly, Kelley was senior exhibit manager, overseeing all aspects of the expo portion of the annual National FFA Convention & Expo. The event, which with the convention moves to Louisville, Ky., this year for a three-year period, draws more than 56,000 students, teachers and administrators and more than 400 exhibitors each year.
In his new role, he will oversee revenue generation through exhibitor booth and advertising sales, licensing agreements and future opportunities to help companies and organizations deliver messaging to an FFA audience that includes middle- and high-school members, collegiate members, teachers and administrators, alumni, corporate sponsors and supporters.
Kelley joined the National FFA Organization from the Indiana Convention Center, where as event coordinator he successfully staged more than 250 events that ranged from social occasions to trade shows spanning the entire facility. Previously, he was operations manager at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison, Wis., where he managed an operations department of 25 full-time and more than 75 part-time city employees and oversaw an annual $1.5 million operations budget.
Originally from Terre Haute, Ind., Kelley earned an undergraduate’s degree from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
He is a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events and the National AgriMarketing Association.
Kelley lives in Carmel, Ind., with wife Stacy, an attorney. The couple has two young children.
The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 557,318 student members in grades seven through 12 who belong to one of 7,498 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
