INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012/National FFA Organization) – The National FFA Foundation, along with two other FFA organizations, were the recipients of a donation from Case IH after Doug Loudenslager placed a winning bid of $77,000 for “Red Power,” a one-of-a-kind skid steer.

Representatives from the National FFA Foundation, Ohio State FFA Foundation, and the Buckeye Valley FFA chapter, accepted a check today at the Case IH booth at the National FFA Convention & Expo.

The National FFA Foundation received 89 percent, Ohio State FFA Foundation received 10 percent and one percent will be given to the Buckeye Valley FFA chapter, which was selected by Loudenslager as his local chapter.

Rob Cooper, executive director of the National FFA Foundation, was on hand to accept the check for the organization.

“With their support, we’re able to continue to invest in young people so they can be the leaders in the field of agriculture,” said Cooper.

Loudenslager, general manager of Evolution Ag, which is a combination of Ohio-area Case IH dealerships, has a long history of involvement with FFA. He is a former Chief Operating Office of the National FFA Organization as well as a lifetime FFA Alumni member.

“We need outstanding young people who are dedicated, who have leadership skills and who have the ability to help our company grow,” said Loudenslager. “We’re excited to have the opportunity to support the National FFA Foundation, the Ohio State FFA Foundation and our local FFA chapter, Buckeye Valley.”

The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 557,318 student members in grades seven through 12 who belong to one of 7,498 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
