I ran a daycare for several years, I was the secretary at the WaKeeney Animal Clinic for 15 years and a church secretary for one year. I am now an Administrative Assistant for the State of Kansas located at the Cedar Bluff State Park and have been for 11 years. The position holds many accounting, secretarial and communicational responsibilities. I work with the public on a daily basis doing reservations, selling permits, accounting procedures, as well as corresponding with the public. Also have been in charge of training other Administrative Assistants throughout the state. Served on the host state committee for the National Parks Association, and serving on the State Parks Branch board.

FFA Alumni Activities:
Sponsoring FFA local, state and national activities, officer retreats, Alumni fund raising, new member enrollment, held several offices including; secretary, treasurer, vice-president and now serve as the KS state president, wrote an auction program for the local & state auction, helped with auction, and selling tickets for National auction and raffle, served as mentor for local FFA members. Instrumental in the organization of new Alumni affiliates.

FFA Activities or Awards:
I have never been in FFA myself although my husband and three sons were very active in FFA. Along with my sons and husband we played a very active part of the re-activation of our active Alumni Affiliate. I have received the Honorary FFA chapter degree.

Outstanding Achievements and Community Activities:
I was the local affiliate outstanding member, received the Kansas State achievement award as well as won the National outstanding achievement award. I have been active in 4-H, serving as a club and county leader, receiveing the Friend of 4-H award. I am active in church activities serving as a music minister, did organize the adult softball program, coached youth softball and baseball, and sing in the living Christmas Tree choir, was an active member of the WaKeeney Harmony Club.

I have attended many State Ag Ed Conventions, 3 State Leaders Conferences, 9 National Conventions. The local and state FFA Alumni is a very important part of my life and I would like to serve on the National council to further work for the one great cause of our world and that is to help our kids grow in the right direction, I believe through FFA this can be made possible.​​
