Relive the convention and expo
More than a month later, and we still can’t stop talking about the 86th National FFA Convention & Expo in Louisville. While at the convention and expo, FFA members attended general sessions complete with elaborate sets, lighting and music. Sessions included keynote speakers delivering messages on premier leadership, personal growth and career success.
On stage throughout sessions, select FFA members received national awards and recognitions. The National FFA Band, Chorus and Talent groups performed throughout the event. National FFA officers delivered motivational speeches.
During the week, FFA members competed in career development events. More than 3,000 FFA members from across the United States qualified for competition in these national events by winning at the state level.
FFA conducted official organizational business. Each U.S. state sent voting delegates to the convention and expo to debate issues and initiatives.
Housed at the Kentucky Exposition Center, the expo spanned more than 200,000 square feet and showcased more than 450 exhibitors from business, industry, colleges and universities.
The National FFA Convention & Expo was in Louisville in 2013 to begin a three-year rotation series with Indianapolis. The event will return to Indianapolis for 2016-2018.
