AgCN brings students one step closer to growth, success

The Agricultural Career Network is a new, nationwide system designed to help FFA members document their educational achievements, create robust portfolios and pursue scholarships and employment opportunities. Data collected through the network will help document the impact and relevance of FFA and agricultural education programs, drive FFA program improvement and build a growing base of support for agricultural education.

Thanks to our exciting new partnerships with Career Cruising and, AgCN will provide students with a clear pathway from talent to career. In addition, it will continue to engage members after they’ve hung up their blue jackets for good. Students will be able to utilize AgCN both for career development and—as they pursue postsecondary education and training—career pursuits. During this year’s National FFA Convention & Expo, FFA members can attend workshops and view demonstrations to learn how to incorporate AgCN into their FFA involvement.

If you’ll be at the convention and expo, see how AgCN is beneficial to you and your company during the exhibitor breakfast in the Indiana Convention Center, Exhibit Hall J, Thursday, Oct. 25. The breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. followed by a brief introduction to AgCN by Dr. Dwight Armstrong, chief executive officer of the National FFA Organization, and Robert Cooper, the National FFA Foundation executive director. Bill Symonds, a Harvard professor and author of the paper Pathways to Prosperity will give a keynote.
