Got Scholarships? FFA does…and results will be available soon!
Visit www.ffa.org/scholarships on May 7 for a complete list of this year’s scholarship recipients. Recipients will be mailed instructions on how to claim their scholarships by the end of May/beginning of June. (Email scholarships@ffa.org if instructions are not received by July 15.)

Agriscience fair reminders
The National FFA Agriscience Fair will have a pre-qualification process to narrow down students to the top 15 in each category and division. The process for this will be as follows:

  • Each state will declare through the MyAgCN online registration system the categories/divisions they plan to have students participate in by June 1.
  • All state winners must be certified through the MyAgCN online registration system and have their full written report and application postmarked by July 15 to national FFA. This is the same date for national chapter and proficiency applications.
    • All pages of the Excel Agriscience Fair Application are required.
    • Mail to Deborah Sellers at the National FFA Organization.
  • Written reports will be scored by a committee using the rubric in the handbook. The top 15 individuals in each category/division will be notified and asked to participate in the national agriscience fair at convention.
  • The written report score will count for 25 percent of the overall score for the agriscience fair but will not be seen by the judges at the fair.

National Chapter Award program reminders
Please note the following information:

  • Each state must declare though the MyAgCN online registration system by June 1 their intent to have chapters participate in the National Chapter Award program. If your state holds their selection date after June 1, just indicate the date of the event in the declaration. Chapter names can be selected later.
  • Advisors must certify their chapter by July 15.
    • This is also where the advisor will request a new national plaque, if needed, and their two free awards banquet tickets, if they are attending. As in the past, advisors will have until Sept. 15 to claim these via this registration process.
  • Applications must be postmarked to the National FFA Organization by July 15 or the following day if the 15th falls on a Sunday or federal holiday. Mail the applications to the attention of Deborah Sellers at the National FFA Organization.
  • Once summer judging is complete, we will have links for press releases for the chapters on their certification page, similar to CDEs and agriscience fair.

Got talent?
We all know that FFA members can run their own businesses, give knock-out speeches, and solve problems in their schools and communities. But, did you know that many of them can sing and dance, too? Do you think you may have the chops to be a member of the National FFA Band, Chorus or Talent program? Applications are now available. Visit https://www.ffa.org/bct to apply today!

Chat live
In the past six months, we have talked to many customers and assisted them with placing their orders using Live Chat through our online store. Unfortunately during this same time we have had several students play pranks or use inappropriate language while conducting chats with our staff. In some cases, we’ve been able to identify the students and contact their advisors. The Shop FFA Live Chat is for customers who have questions about placing orders and is not intended to be the catch-all forum for everything FFA. To serve customers that really need assistance on Shop FFA, we ask advisors and students to only use the Live Chat option if they need assistance placing orders.
