No-Cost Resources

FFA Learn has middle school curriculum and lesson on Food For America, water quality, leadership, and more. Use the lessons yourself or turn them over to your students to deliver in a variety of situations.

The Environmental Protection Agency has articles and activities about water for middle school students.

Backyard farmer broadcasts 

Virginia State Climatology Office

Advanced Technology Environmental Education Center provides information on careers, training, and professional development; environmental programs in high schools and colleges; curricula for high school and associate degree programs; and instructional units on five topics:  water quality, a hazardous materials accident, environmental risk assessment, infectious diseases, and environmental justice (National Science Foundation).
The Water Cycle examines the movement of water across earth.  Among the topics:  condensation; evaporation; freshwater storage; groundwater storage and discharge; infiltration; precipitation; snowmelt runoff to streams; springs; stream flow; surface runoff; transpiration; water in the atmosphere; ice and snow; and oceans.
