Chapter Profile: North Carolina State University

Check out how the North Carolina State Collegiate FFA Chapter will serve the university as well as the surrounding community.

In February, they will partner with Alltech to help the company prepare for a local conference. Members will help set up for the conference the day before the event, and for their efforts they will then be able to attend the conference.

This March, the chapter will participate in Service Raleigh, an annual citywide day of service that provides much needed assistance to local organizations. Later this spring, members will gather at the North Carolina FFA Center. They will partner with the Agricultural Education Club and Alpha Tau Alpha to provide landscape maintenance at the center before students arrive in the summer to enjoy FFA camp.

The North Carolina State chapter meets twice monthly, with speakers ranging from the Chancellor of North Carolina State University to the president of the North Carolina FFA Alumni. During National FFA Week, which this year is Feb. 18-25, plans include a guest speaker, Ag Olympics and an American Degree party. At the American Degree party, members will help each other complete their American Degree applications.
