“The National FFA staff needs to communicate with certified advisors directly.”

Our response:
With online declaration and certifications, advisors will have more direct access to team’s information.

This site will also be used to host team orientation packets, team news releases, photos and scores.

“The National FFA Organization needs to test new CDEs on a regional level.”

Our response:
The National FFA Organization does not consider adopting a national CDE until at least 17 states are conducting a like event.

The first year of national CDE adoption is a workshop which any teacher can attend to get questions answered about the new event. The pilot year of new national CDE can be attended by two chapters.

You said,
The National FFA Organization’s revised events are not as concerned for technical skills as they are concerned about “soft skills”.

Our response:
The National FFA Organization has increased the emphasis on AFNR Cluster Skills which are important for all careers, but the majority of CDEs are highly technical events requiring participants to have extensive technical knowledge.

The National FFA Organization utilized the AFNR standards to not only align with cluster skills, but also the technical skills in the specific pathways.
