Courtesy Corps

"Reduce the number of people to only what is needed and ensure that volunteers stay busy."

Our response:
Before posting the 2012 National FFA Convention & Expo Courtesy Corps registration form, national FFA staff requesting member volunteers will be asked to ensure each position has a purpose and that volunteers are used to the fullest degree.

You said,
"Improve instructions on what to do."

Our response:
The national FFA staff requesting courtesy corps assistance is responsible for writing a detailed description of the onsite responsibilities. A printout based on the initial request and assigned duties will be made available at the courtesy corps check-in office. These can be taken with you to your volunteer site to ensure there is no confusion on who to report to and what is expected.

You said,
"Shorten the time commitment."

Our response:
The time commitments vary from two to six hours based on the nature of the event. An addition to the staff request form will include a question asking if the time frame of the shift can be split up. This will allow more members the opportunity to participate and make the best of their time volunteering.
