| Position Title | Talent Program Director |
| Position Description | Responsible for providing leadership and coordination in directing the development and implementation of the National FFA Talent Program serving as the Director of the National FFA Talent Program. Work with national, state, and local agricultural education leaders, students and industry representatives. Coordinate convention activities and work within set budgets of the FFA Organization and Foundation special projects. Provide training and coordinate for other FFA volunteers. Ensure a high quality educational and recognition experience for students, chapters and teachers participating in the National FFA Convention. Must abide by all FFA policies and procedures as approved by the National FFA Board of Directors. Position Responsibilities 1. Budget. Agrees to stay within budget as set by Band, Chorus and Talent Project Coordinator. 2. Supervision. Responsible for the supervision of the Talent members. Ensuring members abide by National FFA Code of Conduct and meet obligations as determined by you and the convention schedule. 3. Planning. Conduct regular meetings to develop plans and set priorities. Maintain a strategic and programmatic direction for the team that is within the missions of the team, FFA and agricultural education. 4. Decision Authority. May make recommendations/suggestions for improvements/enhancements of the assigned activity/project to assigned national staff; however, the authority to make final decision rests with national staff and the National FFA Board of Directors. 5. Travel. Requires moderate travel to FFA convention and other planning activities under FFA policy. Travel will be reimbursed as outlined in the National FFA Travel Policy. 6. Compensation. A monetary stipend is provided for services rendered as Director of National FFA Talent Program. 7. General Responsibilities of the Talent Director a. Responsible for organizing, managing and conducting the National FFA Talent Program. b. Responsible for selecting FFA members for the National FFA Talent Program in a fair and impartial manner. Selection process to be focused on member talent and skills. c. Make the final decision on selection of members participating in the convention Talent Program. d. Communicate with FFA staff, state leaders, teachers and others with vested interest in the National FFA Talent Program. e. Organize an annual critique of Talent activities and communicate recommendations to Band, Chorus, and Talent Project Coordinator. f. Provide Band, Chorus and Talent Project Coordinator with information regarding challenges or conflicts that may result in a formal appeal or letter of concern regarding Talent activities or participation.
